Volunteering

We are a volunteer-run rescue, and our amazing volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you love being hands-on with animals, enjoy gardening, are confident chatting to people at events, or prefer helping from home, we have a variety of roles to suit different skills, interests and availability.

Volunteer Roles Available

General Shift Work
Our general shifts involve helping with the day-to-day running of the rescue. This may include mucking out, feeding, cleaning, preparing bedding, filling hay nets, general maintenance, and supporting the care of our larger animals. Some shifts involve horse handling, so confidence around horses is helpful, although guidance will be given where appropriate.

Alpaca Welfare Volunteer
Our alpaca volunteers help with feeding, cleaning, checking water, maintaining living areas, and supporting the general care of our alpacas. This role is ideal for someone calm, patient, and comfortable working around larger animals.

Cat Welfare Volunteer
Cat care volunteers help keep our cats happy, healthy and comfortable. Duties may include feeding, cleaning litter trays, refreshing bedding, socialising cats, and helping us monitor their wellbeing.

Gardening and Site Support
Keeping the rescue safe, tidy and welcoming takes a lot of work. Gardening volunteers help with weeding, planting, tidying outdoor spaces, clearing areas, and helping maintain the farm environment for both animals and visitors.

Event Stall Volunteers
We regularly attend events and fundraisers to raise vital funds for the rescue. Event volunteers may help run tombolas, raffles, stalls, games, or information stands. This is a great role for friendly, confident people who enjoy speaking to the public and supporting a good cause.

Vinted Reselling
You can also help from home by supporting our online selling. Vinted volunteers help list donated items, take photos, write descriptions, package items, and help raise funds through resale. This is a fantastic option for people who want to support the rescue but may not be able to commit to regular farm shifts.

A Role for Everyone
You do not need to be an animal expert to make a difference. Some roles are hands-on with animals, while others support fundraising, events, admin, resale, gardening or general site care. Every role helps us continue providing food, bedding, veterinary care and safe spaces for the animals who need us most.
As the rescue costs thousands of pounds each month to run, every shift, stall, sale and spare hour directly supports the animals in our care.

Who Can Volunteer?
Our volunteers must be aged 18 or over. Children are welcome to visit the rescue with an accompanying adult, but volunteering roles are for adults only.

Interested?
If you have some spare time and would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Whether you can offer a regular commitment or occasional help, your time is valuable and truly appreciated.

Please contact us to find out more about current volunteering opportunities.
As we are volunteer-run, replies may take a little longer during busy periods, but we will get back to you as soon as we can.
